Overview
Our ceramics bench kept producing beautiful accidents. Glaze Index turns them into a reproducible, shareable library.
Challenge
Glazes are notoriously hard to reproduce; small changes in firing change everything.
Approach
Every tile records its recipe, kiln and position. A simple online index lets anyone search by colour, texture or ingredient.
Process
Three hundred tiles, forty firings, one very patient kiln.
Outcome
A physical tile wall, an open online index and a printed field guide.
